Yard Update: Glebe Gallop

Plenty of work getting horses ready on the gallop the last week or two, the uphill stretch actually takes quite a bit of looking after. It's harrowed daily and the maintenance work in the Summer includes topping up the surface and removing any debris that can cause an injury.

It's 5 and 1/2 furlongs in total and gradually uphill which is great for long slow work, building up muscle and allows horses to stretch out in their faster work. It's great for humans looking for a bit exercise as well!

The whole gallop is enclosed on both sides so it's ideal for helping youngsters stay straight and focus on going forwards. We'll have plenty of updates over the next week as the string get ready for racecourses.
